The Library of Congress houses over 173 million items in its collection. From books and podcasts, to films, and photographs, the library develops guides for patrons to use for their research. For the Internships and Fellowships program (IFP), the program develops a newsletter to help interns discover new items while they’re interning at the agency. As a Communications Program Assistant at the library, I led the development of the IFP Recommends newsletter for April 2022. To further its development, I researched events, programs, and items, at the library to include in the newsletter. I also conducted an interview for the intern spotlight section. The newsletter was designed in Microsoft PowerPoint for accessibility.
