While the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is known for using data and research to support the health and wellbeing of the public, it also aims to propel the health of its employees. As a Communications intern in the WorkLife Wellness Office, I supported various internal communications efforts, including the development of the Healthiest CIO Challenge article. The Healthiest CIO Challenge is an initiative employee at the agency engage in to ensure their caring for their mental, spiritual, and physical health. For the article, I developed an outline, conducted interviews, and wrote copy. The article was published on the agency’s intranet, CDC Connects.
