In 2021, the Library of Congress welcomed a new director for its Connecting Communities Digital Initiative (CCDI). The initiative, under the Of the People: Widening the Path program, aims to connect the library with minority communities. As a Communications Intern in the Office of Communications, I proofread and copyedited the initiative’s press release for submission. The copyediting included looking for grammatical errors, restructuring for AP Style, and clarity.
